Ep 15 - Your Torment Will Be Legendary

Vegeta says a lot of stuff that's pretty "extra," huh? Am I using that right? That's what the kids are saying these days, I hear. This episode has a lot of challenging moments in it - and I mean both this episode of DBZ Kai and this episode of ZenkaiBOOST - we were having some pretty major connection issues but I have resolved them as best I can. I did buy a better ethernet cable, so that problem is solved forever now. Good riddance. Sorry this one is late - we were having connection issues at time of recording that made editing a bit more difficult. This one was worth the wait though, I promise. In the first half of today's show, we find out what happens when you make the beams touch. In the second half, Goku learns a lot - both about himself, and the world around him. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, and well, uh, they're not COMPLETELY wrong, I guess...

Ep 13 - Everybody's having fun

If you're keeping track, we're more than twice as far ahead as we would be if we weren't watching Kai. I mean, wow. Who'd have thought you could speed this show up by taking out the bad parts. The Big Fight starts in this one, and it gets pretty...

If you're keeping track, we're more than twice as far ahead as we would be if we weren't watching Kai. I mean, wow. Who'd have thought you could speed this show up by taking out the bad parts. The Big Fight starts in this one, and it gets pretty rowdy. Listen for yourself - I think you'll have a good time. A better time than Nappa, anyway.

Ep 12 - Who's Got The Bean

Okay, the moment you're waiting for is finally here, and you only had to sit through 11 episodes to get to it. Back in MY day it took more than twice that. Kids these days don't even appreciate anime. In this episode, Goku returns and Nappa...

Okay, the moment you're waiting for is finally here, and you only had to sit through 11 episodes to get to it. Back in MY day it took more than twice that. Kids these days don't even appreciate anime. In this episode, Goku returns and Nappa gets clowned on. Get ready. Cliff's Notes: Blighted wasteland of an anime opening; His friend (who he's related to); I've got the bean; We have to tone it down this time; What's wrong with me???; Y'all gotta get to Namek; The hubris of Manga

Ep 11 - Space Jam 2

They say people perform best under pressure - whether that pressure is a deadline to watch a video so you can talk about it on a podcast, or to kill or be killed while you wait for your dead dad to get his ass back to earth. Yikes. A lot happens...

They say people perform best under pressure - whether that pressure is a deadline to watch a video so you can talk about it on a podcast, or to kill or be killed while you wait for your dead dad to get his ass back to earth. Yikes. A lot happens in this one. Hold on to your butts.

Ep.10 - Akira Toriyama Presents Matthew Broderick

Actions have consequences, you know? Fly too close to the sun and you get burned. Get punched too many times and your arm comes off. That's life! Anyway, sorry this one was so late. We had some, uh, issues. Hopefully for the last time....

Ep.08 - Energy Socialism

Just a heads up – we kinda lost the plot in the middle of this one. It gets a little weird, but I think you'll appreciate our honesty. I mean, I hope. Anyway, in this episode a man dies very badly by getting crushed by a car. The stakes are...

Just a heads up – we kinda lost the plot in the middle of this one. It gets a little weird, but I think you'll appreciate our honesty. I mean, I hope. Anyway, in this episode a man dies very badly by getting crushed by a car. The stakes are very real in Dragon Ball Z Kai. Cliff's notes: Tossed Salad & Scrambled Eggs, Schrodinger's Spirit Bomb, clothing magic, everyone poops, the Pig-man from way back when, wish juice, no flips, and Vegeta Day

Ep.07 - Sandwich Discourse

The good things in life take time, y'know? Like learning how to punch dudes and shoot very good beams. Goku learns that in this episode, and Gohan gets thrown off a cliff. Life comes at you fast. Love, Max N Cliff's notes for this ep: A vacation...

Ep.06 - The Nasty Bunch

So in this episode, the training begins in earnest. King Kai gives us a window into life at his trans-galactic bachelor pad, and it’s not pretty. Goku tells some jokes (Kind of?) and we learn about what you might find on the inside of a 4-year-old’s...

So in this episode, the training begins in earnest. King Kai gives us a window into life at his trans-galactic bachelor pad, and it’s not pretty. Goku tells some jokes (Kind of?) and we learn about what you might find on the inside of a 4-year-old’s skull. It’s great to be back after so long, and I’m glad to say you can expect things to get right back on track from here on. Love, Max N. Highlights from this episode include: Four Chinese listeners, a Rabbit-or-Duck situation, the rest of my life in a One Piece podcast, vestigial chompers, another late night at the Funimation offices, a really stupid version of “Gift of the Magi,” two men locked in a deadly embrace, and the difference between a nut and a bean.
